onsemi NCV7192 Bridge Signal Conditioning Interface

onsemi NCV7192 Bridge Signal Conditioning Interface is designed for automotive safety applications, offering both analog and SENT (Single Edge Nibble Transmission) output options. The onsemi NCV7192 conditions differential signals from external sensing elements (such as piezo‑resistive or strain‑gauge bridge sensors) by applying configurable gain and offset adjustment through a low‑noise amplification stage. The device incorporates an integrated DSP to compensate for sensor nonlinearity and temperature effects, ensuring accurate and stable output across a wide range of operating conditions.

NCV7192 also features a dedicated measurement channel for linearizing and monitoring an external NTC thermistor, enabling medium‑temperature reporting via the SENT interface. With an integrated, output‑pin‑programmable EEPROM, the NCV7192 allows storage of calibration data, compensation coefficients, and user‑defined payload information. Built‑in diagnostic mechanisms (including connectivity checks, BIST [Built‑In Self‑Test] routines for sensor, temperature, DSP, and output paths, as well as protections against shorts, overvoltage, and reverse voltage) enhance reliability in safety‑critical environments. Typical applications include pressure sensing and force/torque measurement in systems requiring precise, robust signal conditioning.
