Microchip Technology MCP795xx / MCP795Wxx RTCCs
Microchip Technology MCP795xx / MCP795Wxx Real-Time Clock Calendar ICs (RTCCs) are 10-pin devices that provide accurate timekeeping over a wide temperature range, power-failure monitoring, and on-chip nonvolatile memory. These small-package devices offer many of the same features as the larger 14-pin MCP795Wxx family.Microchip MCP795xx devices reduce overall component count in the system and eliminate user programming costs for a serial ID, making these RTCCs an ideal choice for the handheld, wireless, and consumer markets. These devices include 64 bytes of SRAM, 2 Kbits of EEPROM, and a 128-bit Unique ID that can be ordered blank or pre-programmed with a MAC address.
MCP795xx RTCCs provide a wide digital trimming range, providing customers with high accuracy over a large temperature range. These Microchip devices also provide an on-chip power-fail timestamp feature that is not offered on any other SPI RTCC in the industry.
