Analog Devices AD2S1210 10-Bit to 16-Bit R/D Converters are complete monolithic 10-bit to 16-bit resolution tracking resolver-to-digital converters that integrate an on-board programmable sinusoidal oscillator for sine wave excitation for resolvers. AD2S1210 accepts 3.15V p-p ± 27% input signals in the range of 2kHz to 20kHz on the sine and cosine inputs. A Type II servo loop tracks the inputs and converts the input sine and cosine information into a digital representation of the input angle and velocity. AD2S1210 provides a maximum tracking rate is 3125rps and ±2.5 arc minutes of accuracy.
With an operating range from -40°C to +125°C, AD2S1210 10-Bit to 16-Bit R/D Converters are ideal for dc and ac servo motor control, encoder emulation, electric power steering, electric vehicles, integrated starter generators/alternators, and automotive motion sensing & control.
